Christian Science Reading Rooms like this one at 188 E. 3rd Street in Chico, California, provide a quiet place for study and prayer during the week.  There are Bible reference works and complete collections of Christian Science periodicals filled with articles written by students of Christian Science, relating how they prayed to meet and overcome challenges in their everyday lives.  Also, there are Christian Science books, publications and magazines available including the most recent copies of the Christian Science Monitor (a weekly newspaper).

Both a bookstore and study center, our Reading Room has a wide assortment of Bibles including: KJV, NKJV, NLT, THE MESSAGE, ESV, NEB, & NRSV for study.  Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, Christian Science publications and magazines are available (including the Christian Science Monitor).  If you wish to make a purchase, you may use cash, check or credit card.

• The Reading Room is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

• Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1p.m.

• Closed on Sundays and major holidays.

• We are sometimes open during special evening and weekend events downtown.

• Our Reading Room is located in beautiful, downtown Chico, just one block east of Main Street, and one block west of the Saturday morning Farmer's Market.  We are right next door to Mountain Sports and Sicilian Cafe.
